Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Educational Psychologist to join our team at ProCare Therapy. This role requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience in the field of school psychology.

North Las Vegas, NV

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to create and execute effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies.
  • Deliver direct counseling services aimed at fostering students' social-emotional growth and academic achievement.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for students facing emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Advise educators and school personnel to cultivate positive learning environments and implement effective classroom management techniques.
  • Analyze assessment results and communicate findings clearly to all relevant parties, including parents and educational staff.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in school psychology and comply with ethical standards and legal obligations.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Experience in conducting psychological assessments and formulating intervention plans within an educational context.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based counseling practices and behavior management techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Commitment to creating inclusive and supportive environments for students from all backgrounds and abilities.
  • Understanding of pertinent educational laws and regulations, including IDEA and ADA.
