Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

The Clinical Nurse I is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit. This role requires a strong understanding of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial models, and clinical pathways. The ideal candidate will possess effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize work in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to care for patients in the ICU
- Assess, organize, and complete patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors
- Document steps of the nursing process and utilize proper medical terminology
- Address problems and progress toward goals
- Facilitate patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources
- Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate
- Support unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities
- Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License
- 0-6 months related experience
- Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways
- Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in an efficient manner
This position is located in the Intensive Care Unit at Saint Francis Health System's South Campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care.
