Nutrition Care Specialist

At Optalis Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled Nutrition Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our nutrition team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the nutritional needs of residents and develop personalized nutrition care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure nutritional requirements are incorporated into resident care plans.
  • Provide nutritional counseling and education to residents and their families.
  • Conduct quality inspections of meals served to ensure conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance.
  • Advise on sanitation, safety procedures, budgeting, and planning to support the establishment and operation of food service facilities and nutrition programs.
Requirements:
  • Degree from an accredited Dietetic Technician program.
  • Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration.
  • Experience in long-term care (LTC) a plus.
