Urologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Urologist to join our team at Unio Specialty Care in Torrance, CA. As a Urologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality urological care to patients, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat diseases or disorders of the genitourinary organs and tracts, including erectile dysfunction, infertility, incontinence, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, and urethral stones.
  • Document and review patients' medical histories.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic test results, such as prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening, to detect prostate cancer.
  • Perform abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries.
  • Examine patients using medical equipment, such as radiograph (x-ray) machines and fluoroscopes, to determine the nature and extent of disorders or injuries.
  • Treat lower urinary tract dysfunctions using equipment such as diathermy machines, catheters, cystoscopes, and radium emanation tubes.
  • Prescribe or administer antibiotics, antiseptics, or compresses to treat infections or injuries.
  • Provide urology consultation to physicians or other healthcare professionals.
  • Treat urologic disorders using alternatives to traditional surgery, such as extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, laparoscopy, and laser techniques.
Requirements:
  • Current DEA License
  • Board-certified/eligible in Urology
  • Current California Physician License
  • Completion of a residency program in Urology
