POSITION SUMMARY

Anticipated to open in summer of 2024, The St. Regis, Longboat Key Resort and Residences, will be a unique luxury destination on this Sarasota barrier island. This expansive resort features premier beachfront property, multiple pools, and a four-acre saltwater lagoon filled with marine life. Resort amenities include a large spa, extensive indoor meeting space, and a variety of dining options across several restaurants and bar venues. The exceptional expertise and personalized service of St. Regis will enhance these remarkable facilities to create an iconic resort experience.

Responsibilities include preparing ingredients for cooking, such as portioning, chopping, and storing food. Duties also involve washing and peeling fresh produce, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, and cooking food according to established recipes and quality standards. Additional tasks include preparing cold dishes, operating kitchen equipment like ovens and grills, and ensuring food quality throughout the preparation process. You will set up and break down your work station, serve food in appropriate portions, and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.

Compliance with all company policies and safety procedures is essential. This includes reporting maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe conditions to management, as well as completing necessary safety training. Professional appearance and conduct are expected at all times, along with maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets. Effective communication and positive working relationships with colleagues are crucial for achieving common goals. Adherence to quality expectations and standards is mandatory.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.

License or Certification: None required.
