Flexible Infusion Therapy Opportunities

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Metro Infectious Disease Consultants in Beaverton, OR.

About the Role
  • This is a part-time position with a schedule of 1-2 days per week (weekdays and weekends required)
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in infusion-related settings and strong clinical judgment
Key Responsibilities
  1. Insert and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy needs with ongoing assessment of IV site
  2. Prepare medication for IV administration as ordered
  3. Administer IV therapy via electronic pump with troubleshooting of pump alarms and/or administration via gravity/dial-a-flow tubing
  4. Document infusion charting and patient messages in the EMR system
  5. Address patient questions or concerns related to adverse effects/side effects, diagnosis, treatment etc. within scope of Mid-level provider
  6. Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs establishing priorities
  7. Monitor safety and effectiveness of environment and equipment
  8. Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with facility staff
  9. Agree to cover any clinic as needed per direction of Manager of Clinical Operations
  10. Support professional practice by observing standards of Nursing Practice, JCAHO, state and local laws, MIDC policy
Requirements
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Nurse Practitioner experience, preferably in an infusion-related setting
  • Infusion experience required, Chemo experience preferred but not required
  • Proof of current vaccinations including recommended boosters commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients
Compensation and Benefits
  • $60-$65/hour
