Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team in delivering high-quality patient care. In this role, you will work collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team to provide respiratory care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory care services: Include oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, inhaled medications, airway clearance, and both invasive and non-invasive ventilation
- Perform bedside spirometry and other respiratory procedures: As needed
- Collaborate with the care team: Provide personalized care to each patient
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR): In emergency situations
- Adhere to hospital policies: Ensure infection control, HIPAA, and other hospital policies are followed
- Contribute to a positive work environment: Work professionally with peers and patients
- Focus on quality improvement: Enhance respiratory care practices and patient outcomes
- Embrace professional development: Enhance your skills with opportunities for autonomy
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Respiratory Care or relevant work experience: 2 years beyond the minimum requirement
- BLS certification: Current or obtained within 30 days of hire
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in Texas: Required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification: From the National Board for Respiratory Care
