Qualifications, Licensure & Certification:
The candidate must possess a Master's degree in Speech Pathology. Certification from the American Speech‐Language‐Hearing Association (ASHA) is essential, except during the Clinical Fellowship year. A current state license is required, along with valid BLS Certification.

Professional Experience:
A background in working with patients with disabilities in areas such as speech/language, cognition, voice, and dysphagia is necessary.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct initial evaluations, selecting suitable assessment tools, adaptive equipment, and materials tailored to the patient's age and developmental stage.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with measurable short and long-term objectives related to functional impairments.
  • Assess patient responses to treatment, revise treatment plans as needed, and provide relevant information to patients and families.
  • Document patient care progress, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Educate patients and families to promote ongoing functional independence.
  • Engage in discharge planning and continuing education initiatives.
  • Comply with all federal and state regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
  • Achieve organizational productivity benchmarks responsibly.

  • Perform other assigned responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all equipment and tasks within the Speech Therapy Department as per competency requirements.
