Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer respiratory care services, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and invasive and noninvasive ventilation, in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians and care teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
  • Conduct routine assessments and evaluations to identify opportunities for quality improvement and implement changes to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care modalities, therapies, equipment, and medications, and apply this knowledge to provide evidence-based care.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure excellence in patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure by the State of Texas Medical Board.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board Respiratory Care.
