About the Role:

The Senior Landman plays a pivotal role in the company's success, driving strategic land acquisition and management initiatives. As a key member of the Lewis Energy Group team, you will be responsible for negotiating and securing oil and gas leases, extensions, and amendments with mineral and surface owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and finalize agreements with landowners and third-party operators to secure access to prime drilling locations.
  • Analyze complex oil and gas leases and contracts to ensure compliance and optimal asset utilization.
  • Manage landowner and working interest owner relations to foster strong partnerships and minimize conflicts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement long-range development plans that drive business growth.
  • Review and compute divisions of interest and joint interest billings to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable four-year college or university.
  • At least 7 years of experience as an In-House Landman, with a proven track record of successful land acquisition and management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, analysis, and project management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS mapping tools, including ARC GIS and Google Earth.
  • Membership in the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) is required, with RL, RPL, or CPL certification preferred.
