Veterinary Care Support Specialist

VCA Animal Hospitals is looking for a dedicated full-time Animal Care Support Specialist to enhance our expanding Internal Medicine department.
Compensation: $15.00/hr

We are equipped to handle advanced cases utilizing state-of-the-art technology and diagnostic methods. We fully support the comprehensive use of technician assistant skills and are committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Our high-quality medical services are a collective effort, involving collaboration across various specialty fields, including Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, and our 24-hour ICU.
Key Responsibilities of the Animal Care Support Specialist:
- Exercise and walk patients
- Maintain cleanliness through laundry and general housekeeping
- Assist in restraining for blood draws, examinations, and diagnostic tests
- Support the intake process for all appointments, including surgeries and rechecks
- Capture and upload images of all new initial appointments admitted to Internal Medicine
- Record and report patient vitals using our Woofware software
- Ensure kennels are clean, organized, and odor-free
- Provide comfort and cleanliness for all patients
- Restock food sample containers and maintain their cleanliness
- Collaborate effectively with team members across all hospital services
- Deliver compassionate care to all patients
- Restock supplies as necessary
