Salary Information

We estimate the average weekly pay for this position to be around $1,346.00, with an hourly rate of approximately $33.65 per hour, plus shift differential. Additionally, you may be eligible for certification bonuses, quarterly bonuses, and other incentives.

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this role include performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic problems, completing detailed mechanical inspections and repairs, and interacting with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints. You will also work unsupervised on most tasks and perform facility maintenance duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, vocational or technical certification post-secondary degree or technical certifications preferred, basic tools, and demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines. Three years or more relevant work experience is preferred, along with a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred and all other certification as required by location. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment, knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc., and ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents.

Other Requirements

This position requires the ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire, pass a Ryder drug test, pass a DOT physical, pass a Ryder road test, and pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
