About the Position

This role involves designing and constructing wireless networks for public safety purposes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in telecommunications, specifically with Motorola P25 trunked radio systems. They should also be proficient in RF test equipment, AutoCAD, and coverage mapping software. Additionally, knowledge of FCC regulations and licensing is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and construct wireless networks for public safety purposes.
  • Develop detailed designs and plans for wireless networks.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to implement wireless network solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, electronics, or a closely related field.
  • Five years of professional experience in telecommunications, including two years in the planning, design, and construction of wireless networks.
  • Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations, fundamentals of electronics engineering, and mathematics and physics as applied to engineering.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, RF Propagation study software, and Motorola Astro25 system architecture.
