We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a Veteran Care Specialist - Medical Examiner.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year based on experience and location.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Nurse Practitioner to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

As a Veteran Care Specialist - Medical Examiner, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and perform a focused, in-person physical exam on each Veteran.

You will electronically document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.

This role does not involve making disability determinations; the United States Veterans Administration makes all decisions regarding benefits.

Your responsibilities will be limited to performing Disability Assessments on Veterans, which involves reviewing medical records and conducting physical exams.

You will not treat or prescribe medication in this position.

The average caseload for this role is 3-5 Veterans per day.

Schedule:

We offer a set schedule with normal business hours (8am-4pm), Tuesday and Wednesday. This is an IN-PERSON position.

Key Attributes:

  • Able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
  • Skilled in time management and able to stay on task to meet requirements.
  • Holds a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Proficiently uses a computer.

Requirements:

  • Holds a current, unrestricted NP license.
