About the Facility

Select Specialty Hospital - Akron is a 60-bed free-standing, critical illness recovery hospital, specializing in caring for chronically critically ill or post-intensive care unit patients.

Our hospital focuses on treating a variety of medically complex conditions, including wound care, neurologic conditions, renal disorders, cardiac conditions, infectious disease, medically complex care, pulmonary/ventilator liberation, and brain injury.
