Job Overview:

A dynamic opportunity has arisen at Automationtechies in Orlando, FL for an experienced Control Engineer to spearhead the development and enhancement of process control systems. As a key member of the technical team, you will be instrumental in supporting equipment installation, troubleshooting, and implementing automation advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to define project requirements and solutions, driving business growth through innovative process improvements.
  • Provide expert support during installation, commissioning, and operational phases, ensuring seamless system integration and minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshoot complex process control and automation issues, applying analytical skills to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Stay updated on cutting-edge industrial automation advancements, leveraging this expertise to enhance equipment performance and reduce costs.
  • Develop and evolve PLC/PC-based process control systems and digital solutions, driving business efficiency through technology.
  • Serve as a valuable resource for process controls, providing guidance and support to both customers and internal teams.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering (Master's degree or dual in computer science preferred), demonstrating academic excellence with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
  • Minimum 2-10 years of relevant experience in process control and automation, showcasing a strong track record of achievements.
  • Proficiency in C++, Rockwell Automation, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and electrical components, with a deep understanding of industry standards and codes (e.g., UL, NEC, NFPA, CSA, IEC).
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills, with a willingness to travel up to 25% for business purposes.
