Job Summary

Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing is seeking a qualified Adjunct Nursing Faculty member to join our team. As an Adjunct Faculty, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and guidance to our nursing students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver didactic, clinical, and laboratory instruction that reflects an understanding of the nursing curriculum.
  • Utilize innovative teaching strategies and information technologies to facilitate student learning.
  • Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and submit documentation to the registrar by established deadlines.
  • Engage in critical self-reflection regarding personal performance as a faculty member.
  • Manage time effectively for course preparation and learning activities.
Requirements
  • A master's or doctoral degree in nursing is required to teach nursing courses.
  • A master's or doctoral degree in the appropriate related field is required to teach non-nursing courses.
  • Two years of clinical experience in the field is required.
  • Two years of teaching experience is preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse or in the appropriate field in the Commonwealth of VA is required.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Word, instructional technology, and clinical practice is required.
  • Certification in the area of clinical expertise or as a nurse educator is preferred.
