Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to augment our research capabilities in regenerative medicine at Upstate University Hospital and Binghamton University. The successful candidate will build on ongoing research at both campuses and strengthen cross-institutional collaborations.
They will be expected to make significant contributions to Upstate University Hospital's research initiatives and Binghamton University's Road Map Initiative in the Transdisciplinary Area of Excellence in Health Science.
They will develop and implement a robust plan to synergize and accelerate research partnerships between the Center of Biomanufacturing for Regenerative Medicine, Binghamton University's School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the Basic Science and Clinical Departments at Upstate University Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cutting-edge research in regenerative medicine
- Develop and implement research partnerships between institutions
- Secure external funding for research initiatives
- Teach and mentor students and junior faculty members
Requirements:
- MD or PhD degree in medicine, science, or engineering
- Expertise in biomedical engineering, tissue engineering, cell or molecular biology, and stem cell research
- Proven research leadership and scholarship
- Strong record of securing external funding
- Demonstrated experience as an effective educator and research mentor
