POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Room Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring guest satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of the organization through the meticulous upkeep and cleanliness of guest accommodations. Your responsibilities will also extend to maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of shared spaces, hallways, laundry facilities, break areas, and elevators, as well as managing the cleanliness of all hotel linens.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following outlines the primary duties and responsibilities associated with this position. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary by management. All duties must be executed in compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
  • Thoroughly cleans all guest rooms and suites to established standards; disposes of waste and collects soiled linens from rooms and suites; performs spot cleaning on walls, carpets, light fixtures, and more.
  • Maintains organization and inventory levels in storage areas; replenishes attendant carts with necessary supplies; rotates linens in storage; and transports waste and soiled linens to designated areas.
  • Cleans furniture, elevators, glass surfaces, and planters in public areas such as fitness centers and pools.
  • Conducts sweeping and vacuuming of floors, hallways, and staircases.
  • Operates and unloads dishwashers for glassware and mugs used in guest rooms.
  • Inspects soiled laundry for stains or damage prior to washing, treats stains as needed, and washes, dries, and folds linens to meet standards.
  • Utilizes all laundry equipment according to established training protocols.
  • Reports maintenance issues or completes minor repair requests as needed.
  • Employs technology such as IPOD/IPAD devices and handheld radios to facilitate job tasks.
  • Engages with guests to provide exceptional service and assistance.
  • Utilizes problem-solving skills to address guest concerns effectively.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  • Adheres to the attendance policy as outlined by the organization.
  • Exemplifies the values and standards of FireKeepers Casino Hotel.
Minimum Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must possess the education, training, and experience necessary to demonstrate the ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. FireKeepers reserves the right to verify candidates' qualifications through interviews and assessments.

Strong communication skills and effective guest interaction abilities. Must be at least 18 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety protocols, operating instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with groups of customers or employees.

MATH SKILLS

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in both mathematical and diagrammatic forms.
