We are in search of a meticulous, well-organized, and skilled Litigation Paralegal specializing in Personal Injury to enhance our legal practice. Your role will involve drafting legal documents such as complaints and bills of particulars, responding to discovery requests, preparing for trials, and maintaining organized case files and essential materials.
Compensation:$55,000 - $70,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:- Negotiate liens, medical expenses, and settlements with healthcare providers or insurance entities.
- Assist attorneys in drafting legal pleadings, correspondence, and necessary paperwork, including interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial motions, legal briefs, and affidavits.
- Collaborate with lawyers to prepare for trial by researching legal precedents, organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, submitting motions, and supporting client meetings.
- Request, analyze, and summarize medical records to provide factual responses to discovery inquiries.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential.
- Completion of the NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) certification program is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in legal services under an attorney, ideally within a personal injury law firm.
- Possession of an ABA-approved paralegal certificate, such as an Associate's degree or a proprietary school program in paralegal studies; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
