  • GENERAL OVERVIEW
    • Deliver diagnostic imaging services adhering to established standards and protocols while ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • General Imaging Procedures:
      • Conduct all imaging procedures in accordance with departmental policies and established protocols.
      • Adapt patient care strategies based on age-specific requirements.
      • Utilize all equipment safely to minimize risks of electric shock, burns, and unnecessary radiation exposure.
      • Determine optimal positioning and shielding for patients to achieve the best imaging results while prioritizing comfort.
      • Provide clear explanations of procedures and address patient inquiries effectively.
      • Ensure accurate documentation by scanning paperwork into the PAC's System and completing necessary forms.
      • Maintain proficiency in the PAC's System.
      • Demonstrate knowledge in CD Burning processes.
      • Timely completion of patient charges for each examination.
      • Assist in transporting patients to and from the imaging department.
      • Uphold a clean and organized work environment, adhering to associated checklists.
    • Specialized Imaging Tests:
      • Exhibit competency in performing all assigned procedures and operating equipment for CT scans.
      • Initiate peripheral IVs for patients requiring specific diagnostic tests in line with hospital policies after completing necessary training.
      • Review and adhere to CT protocols as directed by the Radiologist.
      • Minimize radiation dose while ensuring diagnostic quality.
      • Apply appropriate protocols for both adult and pediatric patients.
    • Administrative Duties:
      • Utilize computer systems to access and manage reports.
      • Follow established protocols for image release.
      • Assist with departmental administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling and phone management.
      • Conduct daily quality control procedures as assigned and maintain accurate logs.
      • Order radiology supplies as needed.
      • Participate in annual evaluations and inspections.
      • Provide guidance and support to students.
  • POSITION REQUIREMENTS
    • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
      • 0-1 year of relevant experience.
      • Preferred experience in a hospital setting.
    • Experience: Relevant experience in the field.
    • Education:
      • Graduate from an accredited radiology technology program.
      • Registered or licensed with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
      • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
