Job Overview

Position Summary

The Senior HVAC Installer plays a crucial role in the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and company standards. This position involves working on HVAC systems for both residential and commercial clients, including the installation of furnaces, air handlers, indoor coils, UV lights, air cleaners, and dehumidifiers, all while operating with minimal supervision.

As a Senior Installer, you will also have the opportunity to mentor and guide junior HVAC Installers, helping them to acquire the necessary skills for effective installation practices. Weekend work may be required as needed.

Incentive: $1,000 Hiring Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the installation of HVAC systems in accordance with company protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Complete the wiring of both low and high voltage systems for heating and cooling equipment.
  • Install copper refrigerant lines for air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering tasks.
  • Set up flex and sheet metal ductwork in light commercial and residential settings.
  • Ensure proper connection of gas lines to heating systems.
  • Assess and determine the appropriate materials needed for installation by pre-measuring jobs.
  • Receive and verify all materials and equipment required for each project, ensuring they are loaded into the company vehicle.
  • Support team members to ensure timely completion of tasks as directed by management.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork for each job.
  • Conduct readings on equipment, understanding the implications of these readings.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the assigned company vehicle.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in HVAC installation.
  • High School Diploma or GED; EPA certification is a plus.
  • Ability to safely lift items weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Capability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, or kneel as required.
  • Completion of at least one NATE certification test.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to differentiate between various HVAC equipment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license in accordance with company policy.
  • Must have personal hand tools.
