Surgical Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Surgical Oncology team at Emory University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing complex surgical procedures, including gastric, colon, liver, breast, pancreas, kidney, bladder, prostate, and GYN cancers.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Nursing Director to lead clinical practice and education on the unit, division, and health system.
- Design, implement, and measure safe, cost-effective, evidence-based care strategies.
- Contribute to the advancement of nursing practice at the unit, system, local, state, and national levels.
- Provide direct care for complex patients with multi-system care issues.
- Provide expert nursing consultation to nurses, physicians, patients, and families to promote quality care.
- Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Master's degree in nursing.
- Meets GA Board of Nursing requirements for CNS.
- Three years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse with at least two years of recent experience in the area of concentration.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
