Position Overview

The Orion Consortium is seeking a highly skilled System Engineer 3 to spearhead the transition of Entra ID and Active Directory services to Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the migration process of Entra ID and Active Directory services to cloud platforms.
  • Formulate and execute strategies, workflows, and protocols for the successful cloud migration of identity services.
  • Engage with IT departments and stakeholders to evaluate existing on-premises systems, determine migration needs, and set timelines.
  • Ensure that on-premises systems are prepared and compatible for cloud integration.
  • Design and enforce security protocols and policies to protect Entra ID and Active Directory services in the cloud.
  • Oversee the performance, availability, and reliability of cloud-based Entra ID and Active Directory services.
  • Provide expert technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to identity services.
  • Conduct training sessions to inform IT teams and end-users about new functionalities in the cloud.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices concerning Entra ID, Active Directory, M365, and Azure technologies.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to facilitate migration and ongoing operations.


Essential Skills:

  • Experience with identity federation, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing Entra ID and Active Directory services in both on-premises and cloud settings.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and configuration management.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Entra ID Engineer, Active Directory Engineer, or in a similar capacity, focusing on cloud migration and Azure integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of troubleshooting complex storage challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • In-depth understanding of Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure platforms, including identity management, authentication mechanisms, and security controls.

Required Certifications:
IAT Level II certification is mandatory.
CompTIA Security+ CE is required.

Experience Requirements:
High School or GED - 20 Years
Bachelor's Degree - 25 Years

Security Clearance:
TS/SCI FS polygraph is required for this position.

This position necessitates a TS/SCI clearance.
