Role-Specific Duties
Assists healthcare providers within the limits of clinical licensure in various aspects of patient care, including treatments, tests, procedures, and follow-up as needed.


Guides patients between waiting and clinical areas with professionalism and courtesy, offering assistance to those with mobility challenges.

Adheres to office protocols to gather comprehensive patient histories and assessments during visits.


Efficiently triages and addresses all patient and provider communications, including phone calls, emails, patient portal messages, and in-person inquiries.

Documents all interactions thoroughly and accurately in patient records.

Monitors medication and supply expiration dates and storage conditions according to office procedures.

Reorders and restocks clinical supplies judiciously to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

Implements proper sterilization, biohazard, and infection control protocols to maintain equipment and patient care areas.

Ensures equipment functionality by coordinating repairs and evaluating new technologies.


Collaborates with providers and nursing staff beyond the immediate office to ensure seamless patient care across various specialties and treatment environments.


Qualifications:
Education

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Licenses and Certifications

BLS certification required.

Medical assistant certification is mandatory; NCCT or AAMA preferred.

Experience and Skills

Technical Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a clinical setting.
