About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of new reporting and platform functionality, elevating the user-facing reporting experience at Square. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions, mentoring and leading engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product and stakeholders to identify platform requirements and develop corresponding features.
- Provide high-quality contributions across multiple codebases, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to best practices.
- Identify technical and architectural end states for projects, influencing and evolving the codebase to meet business needs.
- Drive impact through technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- Strong technical expertise in software development, with a focus on data insights and reporting platforms.
