Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Controls Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for performing system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. You will troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems, and respond to basic warranty calls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loads System-Level Controller Software
  • Performs System Diagnostics and Completes Commissioning Documentation
  • Keeps Management and Customers Informed of Job Progress and Issues
  • Calibrates Systems Requiring Basic Electronic Test Equipment
  • Completes Administrative Tasks, Including Time Sheets and Expense Reports
  • Documents Changes and Provides Information for As-Built Documentation
  • Communicates with Customers Upon Arrival and Before Leaving the Work Site
  • Fulfills All Safety Standards and Attends Required Safety Training

Requirements

  • Knowledge Servicing Electronic and/or Mechanical Systems in the HVAC Industry
  • Generally Required Knowledge Includes HVAC Controls Systems, Facilities Management Systems, Site Preparation, Peripheral Equipment Installation and Servicing Techniques
  • Effective Interpersonal Skills to Properly Represent Johnson Controls to Customers and Other Outside Contacts
  • Ability to Explain Technical Information to Technical and Non-Technical People
  • Leadership Skills to Support the Activities of Mechanics Working on Non-Complex, Non-Critical Building Automation Equipment on a Job Site
  • PC Experience Required and the Ability to Program HVAC Related Software
  • Able to Use Hand and Power Tools
  • Attention to Detail and Good Communication and Listening Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Low Voltage/120-Volt Wiring Skills
  • Experience Working with Microsoft Excel and Visio
  • Depending on Location, the Mounting and Termination of Low Voltage Devices May Have Special Licensing Requirements
