Job Summary

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with regional leaders to define the long-term strategic objectives of operational areas, ensuring business growth through effective management of operations activities. Your expertise will be instrumental in planning, directing, and managing the performance of the company's operations, aligning with the overall corporate strategy to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the Florida Region's vision and strategy.
  • Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium, and long-term profitability and returns.
  • Liaise with other regional leaders on the implementation of regional strategic and operational plans.
  • Develop, review, and report on the operations division's strategy, ensuring strategic objectives are well understood and executed by heads of region.
  • Lead the integration project of regional systems, policies, and procedures with those of Corporate in a three-year strategic plan timeframe.
  • Develop the three lines of defense model within the Region, strengthening the first line of defense in business and operational areas and enhancing the scope and frequency of reviews.
  • Effectively drive the regional operational and internal control framework.
  • Strategically define regional operational plans to achieve Corporate critical milestones.
  • Lead tactical implementation of processes to achieve established goals and objectives.
  • Design, establish, and monitor metrics (KPIs) and scorecards to monitor performance.
  • Review and analyze data and metrics on productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence.
  • Deliver sustainable results through root cause analysis, identification of gaps or business and operational needs, assessment, implementation of solutions, and restructuring of processes.
  • Design the appropriate policies, procedures, and internal control framework considering strategies, productivity, best practices, risk management, regulatory compliance, SOX, and financial controls framework.
  • Oversee, monitor, and ensure established frameworks are implemented and operate effectively.
  • Lead a cross-functional team, prioritizing and coordinating their objectives and work plans.
People Management
  • Build and lead an effective and cohesive management team in consultation with HR, implement effective succession planning, people management, development, recruitment, and retention strategies for the division.
  • Manage the performance of all heads of Region within the division through the formal performance management system, promoting employment equity and transformation.
Special Projects

Assist the Region in the standardization of the Puerto Rico and Florida activities.

Assist the Regional Executive in technical and administrative aspects of special transactions and/or projects in which the intervention is required.

Assist the Regional Executive in the strategic alignment of the region's mission with that of the Corporation's.

Ensure standardized reporting formats for all units within management.

Establish a continuous monitoring methodology for activities within the region.

Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and scorecards for the effective operation of the region.

Report variances to the Regional Executive.

Coordinate the submission of Regions reports to be presented to Corporate as it relates to areas managed.
