Job Summary:

Cleveland Clinic's Martin North Hospital is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in the ambulatory setting. As a Pharmacy Technician - Ambulatory Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing distributive pharmacy services, assistance, and support for our pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients.
  • Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy.
  • Assist with extemporaneous compounding of prescriptions and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over the counter items.
  • Operate the point-of-sale cash register system.
  • Monitor and act on reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription area, and remove expiring products.
  • Provide multi-pharmacy support in assigned areas as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Licensed in Florida as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within 18 months of hire.
  • Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program.
  • Six months of hospital experience.

Physical Requirements:

Typical physical demands include the ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times. Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job. Ability to lift up to 2 pounds while walking, stooping, bending, and reaching.
