Position Overview:We are seeking a qualified Aircraft Field Service Engineer (FSE) to support the F-35 Program within the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics division. This role is based at a military air base in Italy and involves working closely with our Italian Air Force (ITAF) clients.
This position is designated for expatriates and includes various privileges under the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA), such as a driver's license for Italy and access to military facilities.
Role Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Avionics and Mission Systems (MS). Additionally, proficiency in Vehicle Systems (VS) and Supportable Low Observable (SLO) is preferred, enabling effective troubleshooting and analysis.
The FSE will serve as the primary technical liaison for the ITAF, addressing maintenance and modification issues related to the F-35 aircraft.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with F-35 Avionics and Mission Systems.
- At least 2 years of combined experience in Vehicle Systems and Supportable Low Observable on fifth-generation fighter aircraft.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Prior experience as a Field Service Engineer.
- Expertise in fault isolation and problem analysis at the subsystem level.
- Technical report writing proficiency.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as PDM, VAS, JEDI, JARVIS, and CRE.
- Knowledge of CATIA and System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE).
- Possession of an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
Security Clearance Requirement:
This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens to be considered.
Work Environment:
