Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc. on the stunning Central Coast of California. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and enhance their quality of life through customized therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment:
Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' abilities, limitations, and goals. Develop personalized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs.

Therapeutic Interventions:


Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, and cognitive functions.


Adaptive Equipment:


Recommend and train patients in using adaptive equipment and assistive technology to boost their independence and engagement in daily activities.


Education:


Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, home exercise routines, and techniques to support ongoing progress and safety.


Collaboration:
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.

Documentation:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in line with regulatory and hospital standards.

Professional Development:
Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in occupational therapy through ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

Certification:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in California.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Experience:


Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, though enthusiastic new graduates with a strong dedication to patient care are welcome to apply.


Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creativity in therapeutic approaches, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
