Property Inspector

Vision Government Solutions is seeking a Property Inspector to join our Appraisal Services team. As a Property Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting, verifying, and recording details of commercial and residential properties required for property valuation. This is a full-time position with potential for long-term career growth for successful candidates. Work assignments will range in location from Southern Maine to Belfast and inland toward Oxford, ME.

• Accurately gather and record specific data points relevant for property valuation
• Serve as a public-facing representative of the appraisal team, maintaining professional communication and appearance
• Submit regular reports to track progress against assigned work
• Measure and inspect interior and exterior of property

• Reliable transportation to/from assigned work location
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, with occasional bending, stretching, and kneeling during property inspections
• Ability to climb stairs and carry 5-10 lbs of equipment
• Comfort working outdoors for extended periods in all seasons/weather
• Effective verbal communication to put at ease members of the public who ask questions regarding a property visit
• Ability to work flexible hours during a 40-hour work week
• Valid driver's license
• Real estate training a plus, but not required
• Mail carrier or delivery experience a plus
