Job Overview: Bollinger Shipyards is seeking an experienced Marine Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven (7) years of proven expertise in marine estimating, with a strong background in gathering and analyzing technical, cost, and schedule data from various stakeholders in the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze technical, cost, and schedule data from various stakeholders in the supply chain, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Interpret and analyze drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation to inform estimating decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, planning, program management, and operations support teams to develop comprehensive estimates for marine projects.
  • Utilize industry-standard estimating methodologies and apply knowledge of the US Navy Ship Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS) to ensure accurate and reliable estimates.
  • Meet deadlines and work effectively within a team environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of proven expertise in marine estimating, with a strong background in technical analysis and data interpretation.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or business administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, with advanced skills in data analysis and visualization.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
