General Job Function:

The Financial Analyst specializing in Capital Data Management will play a crucial role in systematically gathering, organizing, and distributing essential capital data for the GOS capital program. This encompasses tracking budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and deviations from the planned budget throughout the fiscal year. The analyst will assist the GOS Capital leadership team in establishing robust systems and processes for effective data management. Additionally, the candidate will support the business planning cycle and the ongoing tracking of the program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position is vital within GOS, as GOS Capital depends on data from a wide range of segments and sub-segment locations. Key activities include planning, data collection, organization, and reporting.
  • Evaluate and identify risks associated with the Capital Program by utilizing data and assisting in the identification of key performance indicators.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with GOS sub-segment leadership to ensure effective information exchange.
  • Assist in the establishment and routine reporting of key performance indicators to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the decision-making process regarding the capitalization of expenditures and their categorization into appropriate portfolios (Maintenance, Improvement, or Growth).
Education Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong commitment to nuclear and industrial safety and a human performance mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various organizations
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, or financial modeling
  • Utilizes a fact-based, structured decision-making approach to support appropriate actions
  • Skilled in effectively sharing information, instructions, and ideas across functional teams
  • Knowledgeable about and adheres to all policies, procedures, and guidelines related to safety, health, environmental, and quality assurance, emphasizing this perspective in their work and the work of others
  • Familiarity with capital programs.
