Job Description

Job Title: Family Support Services Manager

Department: Angel Guardians, Inc.

Reports To: Program Director

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will provide oversight for the provision of day habilitation programs, including staff supervision, individual services, and compliance with company policies and procedures to ensure programs maintain compliance with all licensing and evaluation. The Family Support Services Manager will communicate observations and needs related to participant needs and goals to the Program Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff, including staff evaluations, monitoring, and scheduling required staff training, meetings, and events.
  • Oversee staff schedules to ensure overtime stays within guidelines and services are staffed as scheduled.
  • Work with the Director on the routing of time off requests, attendance inputs, approvals, and monitoring.
  • Support coverage as needed, to include working with the FSS team to cover.
  • Ensure data is completed timely, including reviewing progress in programs.
  • Record absences for Staff and Participants, to support the QA process.
  • Serve as an active member of ISP teams, including Individual Habilitation Plan Development.
  • Schedule meetings with teams and meet FSS staff monthly to discuss operational status, progress, and concerns.
  • Review and identify discrepancies with service authorizations.
  • Ensure reasonable steps are taken to support individuals with services consistent with their needs.
  • Support QA of the Family Support Programs.
  • Comply with all internal and state regulations and participate in all inspections and investigations.
  • Other duties as assigned by direct Supervisor.
  • Build relationships with participants, staff, and all other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform job duties as listed, with reasonable accommodation upon request.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move throughout the facility and community.
  • Communicate with people supported, staff, and community.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience working to support adults who experience intellectual/developmental disabilities, or similar experience is required.
  • B.S. in Social Work or a related field i.e., Human Services, Health, or Education preferred.
  • Prior supervisory and/or management experience preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR certification/MANDT certifications.
