Job Summary:We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Medication Treatment Nurse to provide high-quality care to our residents. As a Medication Treatment Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating resident care, receiving and recording physicians' orders, and administering medications as prescribed.
Responsibilities:- Meet with nursing assistants to assess, plan, and evaluate resident care
- Receive and record physicians' orders
- Provide feedback to Charge Nurse regarding performance of nursing assistants
- Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of residents
- Make rounds with physicians and other team members as needed
- Assess residents and participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of residents' care plans
- Prepare and administer medications as prescribed and identify and promptly communicate adverse drug reactions
- Maintain narcotic records accurately and arrange for ordering of pharmaceuticals
- Washington State LPN License (Required)
- CPR certification (Required)
- Continuing education for gerontological and/or long-term care nursing preferred
