Job Summary

Church World Service is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Resettlement and Integration to oversee the overall management and supervision of our Orange County resettlement programming. This includes the federally funded Reception and Placement (R&P) program for newly arriving refugees, the Preferred Communities (PC) case management programs, and wraparound programming including workforce development, cultural orientation, and language access.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee program-related oversight, including business development, grants, reporting, budgets, and overall grant compliance.
  • Manage the Reception and Placement (R&P) Program as required under the US State Department's Bureau of Population and Refugee Migration (PRM) Cooperative Agreement.
  • Ensure high-quality service provision to program participants, monitor and evaluate services through regular and systematic file reviews, client interviews, and field visits.
  • Responsible for program and grant compliance, including meeting program outcomes and timelines, overseeing documentation, paperwork, files, and grant reporting.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of wraparound programs, including the ORR Preferred Communities programs, workforce development programming, English language learning, and related integration programs.
  • Assist with business development, grant writing, and program design.
  • Develop and maintain necessary community relationships, coordinate and attend Quarterly Consultations and related community meetings.
  • Establish new programs to support the successful integration of newly arrived populations, including the development of volunteer-run programming, health and mental health wraparound services, and career pathways programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, international development, or related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree. Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years previous experience delivering social service programming.
  • A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience of a multi-person diverse staff.
  • Strong understanding of especially vulnerable refugees' intensive case management needs.
  • Technical experience in at least one key program area.
  • Experience supervising programs with significant case file documentation and reporting responsibilities required.
  • Experience overseeing program finances and developing/maintaining multiple program budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience with successful grant writing, proposal development, and project implementation.
