Nurse Practitioner, Correctional Facility

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and the California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join their team at the California State Prison, Corcoran. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage the health care needs of patients in ambulatory, inpatient, and specialized clinical settings.
- Perform physical examinations and therapeutic procedures.
- Interpret routine laboratory and imaging results.
- Educate and counsel patients regarding matters pertaining to their physical and mental health.
- May be assigned call duties with backup supervision by a physician manager.
- Possession of a current license as a registered nurse in California.
- Possession of a current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the Board of Registered Nurses.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced correctional environment.
