Ultrasound Technologist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient care tasks, including vital sign collection, phlebotomy, and chart preparation.
- Ensure exam rooms and treatment areas are clean and prepared for the next patient.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, including spills and restocking medical supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones and scheduling treatments.
- Assist with training new Medical Assistants and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of Medical Assistant experience or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of computers and medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Medical Assistant certification.
- Knowledge of EPIC Ambulatory and medical terminology.
