Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients with complex and chronic health conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert coordination of care, patient education, and medication administration for patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions.
  • Mentor and train new nurses in cardiopulmonary care, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to address changes in patient condition or drug management issues, ensuring the best possible patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to operational and performance improvement goals focused on patient care, utilizing your analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the job is located.
  • Active national certification (CRNI) or other relevant certification.
  • BSN degree, plus 3+ years of relevant RN experience; or ASN degree, plus 5+ years of relevant RN experience; or Nursing Diploma, plus 8+ years of relevant RN experience.
  • MSN degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of intensive care nursing experience in Cardiac Care Unit, Pulmonary Care Unit, Open Heart Recovery Room, or in a clinical nursing role focused on the care of patients with diagnoses of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension or CTEPH.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, day shift, with occasional evening or weekend patient visits as needed.
  • Technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft and IOS applications and devices.
