Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Manage Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
  • Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands

The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
