Production Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Technician to join our team at West Fraser. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the daily operation of manufacturing equipment, ensuring safe and efficient production processes, and maintaining high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Manufacturing Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality oriented strand board (OSB).
- Manage Product Flow: Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to manage product flow and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Maintenance and Clean-up: Perform regular preventive maintenance and clean-up on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Teamwork and Communication: Work safely and effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth production processes.
- Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment issues and problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Process Improvement: Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Record Keeping: Accurately complete shift paperwork and recordkeeping to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Training and Development: Attend team meetings and regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Compliance and Safety: Comply with all company safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Eligibility: Eligible to legally work in the United States.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Schedule: Willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work as part of a team and deliver value to the team, with a willingness to cross-train and learn new jobs and skills.
- Attendance: Consistent, predictable attendance is essential.
