- Underwriting Discipline: Uphold strict underwriting principles while maintaining a focus on bottom-line results.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of underwriting decisions and processes.
- Claims Verification: Review historical claims data to inform current underwriting practices.
- Risk Quality Assessment: Evaluate risk quality and ensure compliance with corporate guidelines, initiating loss prevention measures as necessary.
- Client Relations: Build and sustain effective relationships with clients to attract and retain profitable business.
- Reinsurance Placement: Manage reinsurance placements in accordance with corporate policies.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in Property Underwriting.
- Proven experience working with wholesale brokers.
- Strong technical and marketing acumen.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the market and regulatory landscape.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- A college degree or equivalent experience is preferred; ARM and CPCU designations are advantageous.
