About the Role

The MRI Technologist I is responsible for performing routine and specialized MRI and radiographic procedures and examinations for radiological diagnosis. This includes creating a tranquil environment for patients, ensuring proper file identification, and maintaining communication with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper file identification
  • Demonstrate competency in operating all MRI equipment and associated software
  • Maintain communication with radiologists, patients, and their families
  • Perform quality control and reporting tasks, setting up and conducting MRI procedures
  • Assist radiologists and contribute to the efficient operation of the department
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) - MR certified
  • MRI certification
  • Proven ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Proven ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
  • 1+ years of MRI Technologist experience
Physical Demands

The MRI Technologist I must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, and lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds. The individual must also have eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films.
