Overview:
As a Financial Services Representative, you will be accountable for executing a range of financial transactions for members, whether in person, over the phone, or through mail. This includes handling deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, traveler's checks, money orders, and cash advances.
Your role will also encompass a variety of member service functions such as initiating and closing accounts, renewing certificates, and assisting members with bookkeeping and checking account inquiries.
You will respond to members' questions about the services offered by the Credit Union and carry out various account maintenance tasks. Additionally, you will actively promote Credit Union services. Specific assigned tasks may include clerical and receptionist duties, as well as assisting other Service Representatives as needed. You will serve members efficiently and professionally.This position necessitates a highly adaptable schedule.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the America First Credit Union team, you will engage with numerous members daily, addressing their diverse financial requirements.
You will also foster relationships with your colleagues and have opportunities to collaborate with other departments in a friendly yet professional atmosphere. We seek individuals who can manage multiple tasks and thrive under pressure. As you commit to your role, you will also gain insights into managing your own finances effectively.
Your daily responsibilities as a Financial Services Representative will include:
Processing deposits, withdrawals, and transfers comprehensive training will be provided
Delivering exceptional member service striving to ensure member satisfaction
Handling cash maintaining cleanliness and hygiene
Identifying fraudulent activities remaining vigilant for any suspicious behavior
Cross-selling assisting members in discovering suitable products and services
Qualifications:
Training/Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of Service Representative operations and procedures.
Strong grasp of Credit Union operations.
Skills/Abilities:
Outstanding communication skills and a readiness to assist others.
Professional demeanor, attire, and attitude.
Strong mathematical abilities.
Proficiency in operating relevant computer applications.
Capability to utilize business equipment such as adding machines, typewriters, copiers, coin and money counting machines, and telephones.
