About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. As a Municipal Law Attorney, you will provide legal counsel to municipalities on a wide range of issues, including land use, zoning, municipal governance, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Represent municipalities in litigation, administrative hearings, and negotiations.
  • Draft, review, and interpret municipal ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Advising municipal officials and staff on legal matters and potential legal implications of current and proposed policies.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various municipal law issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, and provide exceptional client service.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Arizona state bar and in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in municipal law, with a focus on land use and zoning or town attorney/assistant town attorney.
  • Exceptional knowledge of municipal law, land use, zoning, and related legal areas.
  • Proven track record of representing municipalities in litigation, administrative hearings, and negotiations.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, problem-solving, and writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • High degree of professionalism and ethical standards.
