Outpatient Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate psychiatrist to join our team at Psychology Specialists of Maine. As an outpatient psychiatrist, you will have the autonomy to work with a diverse patient population, providing evidence-based care and developing personalized treatment plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing psychiatric treatment and medication management to patients with a wide range of mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans and ensure the provision of high-quality care.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, ensuring the delivery of personalized and evidence-based care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, documenting patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment interventions.
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and stay updated with the latest research and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility for certification in psychiatry.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Completion of residency training in psychiatry.
  • Experience in providing outpatient psychiatric services to diverse populations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health disorders, and developing personalized treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle a diverse caseload.
