Job Title: Warehouse Technician
Location: Devens MA
Duration: 12+ months
This position is onsite in Devens MA.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM EST.
Weekend and holiday work may be required based on business needs.
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, packaging components, and operational supplies essential for manufacturing processes. This role includes handling samples for testing and supporting various warehouse operations.
Compliance with all security protocols, environmental health and safety regulations, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive and inspect purchased materials, including raw materials and supplies, ensuring proper identification and accurate record-keeping in inventory control systems.
2. Maintain transaction records in the SAP environment and address any discrepancies in materials following established procedures.
3. Manage samples for analysis of incoming materials and for re-evaluation of existing stock.
4. Organize and store materials according to their status, adhering to GMP guidelines, while keeping work areas clean and orderly.
5. Facilitate the transfer of materials between the warehouse and production lines, ensuring compliance with procedures.
6. Ensure accuracy in inventory control systems, participate in cycle counting, and prepare materials for shipment, following GMP standards.
7. Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and radios.
8. Properly handle and dispose of rejected materials and hazardous waste in accordance with safety regulations.
Education and Requirements:
- High School diploma is required; an Associate's degree or trade school experience is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is necessary, with an acceptable driving record.
- Forklift operation experience is preferred but not mandatory (training will be provided).
- Experience in a regulated environment such as FDA, Pharma, or Bio-Pharma is advantageous.
Additional Job Requirements:
- This position involves handling hazardous materials.
