About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy driving and are interested in mechanics. As a Motor Transport Operator, you will be responsible for supervising or operating wheel vehicles, managing load and safety of personnel being transported, and overseeing the proper loading and unloading of cargo.

Requirements
  • Must enlist in the United States Army to obtain this position
  • Between the ages of 17-34
  • GED or High School Diploma required
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Cardholder
  • Meet Army Height and weight standards
Job Duties
  • Operate all-wheel vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways
  • Manage load, unload, and safety of personnel being transported
  • Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers
  • Employ convoy defense techniques
  • Identify, correct, or report all vehicle deficiencies
  • Prepare vehicle for movement/shipment by air, rail, or vessel
Estimated Salary: $60,000-$80,000 per year
