WHB Engineers is a leading civil engineering and construction management firm with a strong presence in California. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a minimum of 15 years of experience in designing and overseeing projects related to water and wastewater treatment, disposal, and flood prevention. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing planning-level documents, managing multi-discipline teams, and overseeing field work.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop water and wastewater treatment systems, including development of work plans and schedules.
  • Maintain client relationships and identify new project leads, as well as develop teams and approaches to capture work.
  • Write, review, and critique proposals, plans, designs, or fee estimates related to water or wastewater treatment systems.
  • Provide technical direction or supervision to engineering professionals, technicians, or other personnel.
  • Assist in the management of projects to ensure they are on schedule, within budget, and meet client requirements.
  • Perform studies, calculations, designs, and preparation of plans and reports in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for the construction of facilities, such as water supply systems, runoff collection networks, water and wastewater treatment plants, or wastewater collection systems.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for the construction of water supply systems, runoff collection networks, water and wastewater treatment plants, or wastewater collection systems.
  • Design water storage tanks or other water storage facilities.
  • Evaluate the operation and maintenance of water or wastewater systems to identify ways to improve their efficiency.
  • Market company services and develop work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • California Professional Engineering License (PE) required.
  • Minimum 15 years of practical work experience.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with clients.
  • Solid experience with the MS Office Suite.
